Hastelloy C2000 round bar is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with great corrosion resistance. This round bar is often used when high strength and corrosion resistance are needed.
It stands up very well to many different chemicals, making it a top choice for corrosion applications. ASTM B574 Hastelloy C2000 Flat Bar resists corrosion in oxidizing, reducing, and neutral environments. It retains good tensile strength even when exposed to high temperatures. It has twice the strength of stainless steel alloys at these high temperatures.
It can withstand oxidizing environments up to 1,900°F without strength loss. A protective oxide layer forms on the surface. DIN 2.4675 Polished Bar can be welded using several common welding methods. Proper technique helps avoid cracks.
Its alloy composition enables it to resist pitting and stress corrosion cracking compared to other materials. This versatile nickel alloy can be forged or formed into many shapes while retaining good ductility.
