Incoloy 800 round bar is an iron-nickel-chromium alloy that contains about 30% nickel and 20% chromium. It is made into a round bar stock for applications needing good strength and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. The nickel boosts the alloy’s strength, while the chromium provides excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion. Smaller amounts of other elements like aluminum, titanium and carbon enhance properties further.
The DIN 1.4876 Polished Bar allows the superalloy to be machined into parts like fasteners, valves, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and other components exposed to heat and corrosion. It is widely used in chemical plants, power generation, oil and gas operations, pollution control, food processing and aerospace.

The combination of strength, scaling, and corrosion resistance makes UNS N08800 Black Bar suitable for parts exposed to simultaneous heat, pressure, and chemical attack. It outperforms stainless steels in properties like creep strength and oxidation resistance at high temperatures.
The alloy resists damage by chlorides, sulfides and phosphates found in chemical processing and power plants. It handles carburizing, oxidizing, and other damaging conditions not tolerated by stainless steels when severely heated. This allows lighter wall thicknesses in the tubing.
ASTM B408 Incoloy 800 Bright Bar provides an optimal mix of high-temperature strength, corrosion resistance and fabricability. It protects critical components like valves and fasteners from heat, pressure and chemical damage.
